Our beautiful and artistically decorated chalets & teepees offer a wonderful & serene atmosphere, each set at least 50 meters apart, and therefore ensuring complete privacy away from the other guests. Our larger, original chalets were built in the traditional manner – with straw and daub, and our more intimate couple chalets are very quaint and have maintained the same adobe style and feel that our guests have come to know over the years, with an equally charming design in way of colour, and with reed ceilings & tin roofs.
Bushbaby / Nagapie is one of our two smaller chalets and can sleep two adults and one child comfortably. It is perfectly suited for a romantic couple’s getaway, as it has a more open plan feel with a divider wall separating the kitchen & lounge from the bedroom area. There is a queen-sized bed in the main bedroom, with a single-bed sized couch bed in the lounge.
Bushbaby / Nagapie has electricity, bath/shower, a separate toilet, and a cold-water splash tub on the patio. There is also a wood burning stove inside the lounge, for those cold winter months. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas stove, kettle, toaster, microwave, and the crockery and most of the furniture is handmade by the owners.
Linen & towels are provided, but guests are required to bring along their own toiletries (eg. shampoo, bath soap, etc) for the visit.
There is a private patio & boma braai area at the chalet, and we provide an initial complimentary bag of wood, adequate for the first night, but there is also a convenience shop, just 2km away, where any extra snacks, drinks or more wood can be bought to replenish your stocks.
